Reliance Independent Living Ltd are husband and wife team Claire and Neil Turner.
Neil previously worked for West Midlands Ambulance Service providing emergency medical triage to patients via a 999 emergency call. Neil is trained in first aid to FPOS (First Person on Scene) level and is also trained as an NHS staff coach. Neil also did occasional work for a local authority run Lifeline service.
Claire Turner has worked in social care and health for the past 20 years. Working within care homes, nursing homes and in the community delivering social care to the elderly within their own homes. 11 of those years were spent working for Staffordshire Social Services where she worked her way up to a management role. Claire has numerous qualifications in this field including a Level 3 NVQ in Promoting Independence, Social Care and Health, NCFE Level 2 in Safe Handling of Medicines, Level 2 Certificate in Assessing Candidates, Moving and Handling Trainer plus First Aid at Work, Fire Safety Training and Food Hygiene. In 2008 Claire became self-employed and set up Rural Community Care to provide care and support for the elderly in her local community.
Reliance Independent Living has been set up to provide that same level of support for personal care, domestic services, transport services, companionship and home help.
